McCracken Country Inn offers the comfort and privacy of a luxury hotel with the ambience of an old Country Inn. Our location in the foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, will give you the enjoyment, peace and quiet that you deserve.
Located in the east end of Hinton on the Yellowhead Highway, the McCracken Country Inn features nine rooms. Each room is uniquely decorated in a different country theme, antiques, assorted decor and colours. A full breakfast, which is served in the tea house, is included in the room rate.
Eight rooms are located on the top floor and feature queen-size beds, full bathrooms and cable TV. All of the rooms have their own fireplace. Two of the suites are spacious, executive-style with jetted tubs. One room has an additional hide-a-bed.
The parlour area has a corner fireplace and a large variety of books to help you relax. The parlour is located on the main floor and has books, puzzles and games for your enjoyment.
One room is located on the main floor with outside access. This room is a wheelchair accessible handicap suite or it may be used as a suite for guests that have difficulties with stairs. This room has two single beds. The beds can also be put together as a king size bed.
The Tea House is a licensed 38 seat restaurant. It features a wrap-around deck, home-style meals, home-made baking and a great assortment of teas and specialty coffees. The Tea House boasts a selection of flavoured teas, specialty coffees, home made pies and scones. Meal specials are different everyday with home made soup to start your meal.
We are smoke-free for the comfort of our guests (smoking on the deck is fine).

Hinton is nestled in the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains beside the Athabasca River. It sits on the Edmonton - Jasper corridor of Highway 16. You'll find lots of shopping in town as well as an 18 hole golf course.
Hinton and the area are fast becoming known as a recreation destination. There are plenty of trails for hiking, biking and cross-country skiing. There are walking trails located at the Inn. Hinton is a 15 minute drive to Jasper National Park.
The Inn is family owned and operated by Fay and Kyle McCracken and promises to give you that at-home feeling when you're away from home. |
